This story started from a Dream. People wanted to explore the undersea world and walk in the water as easily as on the ground.
But the truth of life is that dreamers are often in a minority. The world is ruled by practical and rationalistic people. The creators of the first submarines never cared about making them suitable for entertaining. They were built to serve military purposes only. The Hunley, which was the first submarine to sink a warship, is always remembered because of its important role in demonstrating both the advantages and the dangers of undersea warfare.
The underwater battles of two World Wars became a significant period in the history of submarine construction. German Seehund and Biber, English Welman and Japanese Ko-hyoteki midget submarines can be considered as prototypes of modern submarines designed for personal use. The underwater vehicles constructed for military purposes were a miracle of technology for that time. But neither the powerful Hunley for the Confederates, nor the brisk Seehunds for the Nazis became key to victory. They helped to win battles, but not wars. Nowadays the creators of submersibles take into account all pros and cons of military submarines.
Meanwhilethe Dream developed more and more intensively. A wide variety of diving tools was created in the second half of the 20th century, as submarines came into civilian use. Still, traveling by them wasn’t affordable for everybody. Of course, scuba diving has remained an alternative option for those who wish to explore the undersea world. But this is not a simple alternative: it requires special equipment, long-term training, good physical form and many other elements.
So the time to realize the Dream has come. That dream is ‘DiveObserver’ company, founded in 2005.
The driving idea was to create the best submarine scooter in the world. It took us about a year to design and develop the DiveObserver. We took a unique approach in solving many tasks. By the end of 2006 we had industrial designers, sculptors, artists, plastic engineers, assemblers and others involved in the project. They all were inspired professionals. Persistence, attention to detail and focused desire for the result allowed us to create a lightweight, reliable, accessible underwater vehicle, perfectly suitable for use in resorts. In the beginning of 2007 we started assembling the first submarine scooter. We performed numerous tests, examinations, tuning and adjustments, holding off the first presentation of the vehicle until the end of the summer of 2007. After half a year ‘DiveObserver’ released the first serial vehicle.
Now our specialists are developing new types of tourist submersibles. We have designed and created DiveObserver 2 – the first two-seater in the world. In the beginning of 2009 the vehicle was presented to a wide audience. The main idea was to create a vehicle to be driven by a professional, allowing for a passenger who wanted to explore the wonderful undersea world.
Our dreams gave birth to DiveObserver – the most maneuverable and comfortable underwater vehicle in the world!
What seemed a fantasy just few decades a has now become a reality! All dreamers and romantics, of the age from 12 to 60, have an opportunity to enjoy the beauties of the undersea world without special training or heavy equipment. It has become as easy as riding a bicycle along the countryside. This story ends with the Dream. Now the Dream has been made into reality and has a name - DiveObserver!
